Reading the Signature Analytics Table
Updated 9/8/20262 min read
The Hoicko Analytic table under each signature profile logs every signing event with six fields: Document, Created By, Action Type, Updated Value, Activity Time, API Status, and IP Address — giving admins a complete, timestamped audit log of who signed what, when, and from where.
Column-by-Column Breakdown
| Column | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Document | The specific document name tied to the signing event (may show "-" for certain API-triggered actions) |
| Created By | The user (e.g., "Ravi Prakash Jhalawat") or system that initiated the action |
| Action Type | The type of operation performed, most commonly PDF_SIGN |
| Updated Value | Any field-level change associated with the action, when applicable |
| Activity Time | Exact date and time of the event (e.g., 17/07/2026 05:59 PM) |
| API Status | Color-coded result — green SUCCESS or red FAILED |
| IP Address | Origin IP of the request, useful for security review and troubleshooting |
Why This Table Is Central to Signature Tracking
Unlike a simple success/fail counter, the Analytic table gives row-level forensic detail — essential for resolving disputes ("who signed this and when?"), debugging integration issues (via IP Address), and satisfying compliance reviews.
Step-by-Step: Using the Table Effectively
- Open a signature profile and scroll to the Analytic section.
- Use Search Activity... to quickly locate a specific document or user.
- Click Filters to narrow by Document, Date range, or Action type (see the Compliance category for a full filtering guide).
- Cross-reference API Status with Activity Time to spot patterns — for example, repeated failures at the same time each day may point to a scheduled batch job misconfiguration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q 1. Can I export the analytic table for external reporting?
Check your Hoicko plan for export/download capability; at minimum, all data is viewable and filterable directly in-app.
Q 2. Why does the Document column sometimes show "-"?
This typically happens on API-triggered test calls or when no specific document metadata was passed with the request.
Q 3. How far back does the analytic table retain data?
Retention depends on your workspace's Hoicko plan and compliance settings—contact your admin or Hoicko support for your specific data retention policy.
