What to Do When Information Looks Incorrect

What to Do When Information Looks Incorrect is part of keeping dealer information easy to find and reliable. The portal screenshots show table-style pages with columns, record rows, statuses, and actions. Start by confirming the correct section, then use the controls available in your workspace to locate and verify the right record.

Before you begin

Accurate records make it easier for sales, operations, and support teams to work from the same information. Use consistent naming, avoid duplicate entries, and confirm key fields before saving. If a record appears incomplete or duplicated, follow your organization's correction process rather than creating another record immediately.

Recommended working approach

When working on what to do when information looks incorrect, confirm that you are in the correct area and understand the current state of the record before taking action. Use the visible field labels and status descriptions as the source of truth for your workspace. If the page includes filters or a reporting period, check those settings before interpreting the information.

Good practices and common checks

Review important details before saving, avoid duplicate records, and use the process approved by your organization. If information is missing, unclear, or inconsistent, do not guess. Check the related record or ask the relevant administrator or process owner. After completing the task, confirm that the expected change is visible and that no additional action remains pending.

Step-by-step guide

1.       Open the dealer or record list relevant to your task.

2.       Read the column labels and identify the fields needed for your search.

3.       Use available search, filter, or sort controls to narrow the results.

4.       Open the record and verify its name or unique identifier.

5.       Make an approved update if required, then confirm the saved details.

Best practices

Accurate records make it easier for sales, operations, and support teams to work from the same information. Use consistent naming, avoid duplicate entries, and confirm key fields before saving.
