Understanding User Roles and Access

Understanding User Roles and Access supports a more consistent way to manage dealer-related work. The Hoicko Dealer Portal brings relevant records and workflow information into a shared workspace, based on the modules and permissions enabled for your organization. The following guide gives a practical process that can be adapted to the exact controls visible in your portal.

Before you begin

The best results come from using consistent steps and checking the result after each important action. Keep records accurate, use clear status updates, and ask your administrator when a field, button, or process differs from the instructions.

Recommended working approach

When working on understanding user roles and access, confirm that you are in the correct area and understand the current state of the record before taking action. Use the visible field labels and status descriptions as the source of truth for your workspace. If the page includes filters or a reporting period, check those settings before interpreting the information.

Good practices and common checks

Review important details before saving, avoid duplicate records, and use the process approved by your organization. If information is missing, unclear, or inconsistent, do not guess. Check the related record or ask the relevant administrator or process owner. After completing the task, confirm that the expected change is visible and that no additional action remains pending.

Step-by-step guide

1.       Open the section that matches the task you need to complete.

2.       Confirm that you have selected the correct dealer, request, or record.

3.       Review the current details and any visible status or notes.

4.       Complete the permitted action using the controls available in your workspace.

5.       Verify the result and follow up on any remaining item.

Best practices

The best results come from using consistent steps and checking the result after each important action. Keep records accurate, use clear status updates, and ask your administrator when a field, button, or process differs from the instructions.
