Exporting & Scheduling Reports
Updated 8/24/20261 min read
Not every stakeholder wants to log into Hoicko directly to review a dashboard—some need a static file for an offline meeting, an email attachment, or an archived record. Every dashboard and report in Hoicko supports export for exactly these situations.
How to export a report
- Click Export in the top-right corner of any dashboard.
- Choose your preferred format: Excel, for further manipulation or analysis, or PDF, for a clean, shareable, non-editable snapshot.
- Optionally, configure the export to repeat automatically on a weekly or monthly schedule, rather than requiring someone to manually re-export each time.
Choosing between Excel and PDF
Excel exports make sense when the recipient needs to further manipulate the underlying data—pivoting it differently, combining it with other spreadsheets, or running their own calculations. PDF exports make more sense when the goal is simply sharing a clean, final snapshot that shouldn't be edited — a board presentation, a client-facing report, or an archived record of a specific point in time.
Why scheduled exports reduce a common source of manual overhead
Before scheduled exports, a recurring reporting obligation — a weekly sales summary sent to leadership every Monday, for instance — typically fell to someone manually generating and sending that report each week, a small but genuinely recurring task that's easy to forget or delay. Scheduling the export removes this dependency on a specific person remembering to do it manually.
